College football

The largest participation sport at Oxford.

Inter-college leagues run by OUAFC bring together more than 110 teams and over 1,200 players in weekly games.

The six BUCS teams may not be for everyone, or you may want to play more. Oxford University offers many opportunities to play football alongside your studies, and we encourage all genders and levels of experience to consider playing for their college team. The college programme is one of the largest in the country.

College football is an important part of football at Oxford University. Inter-college leagues run by OUAFC have over 110 teams and 1,200 players competing in weekly games, making football the largest participation sport at the university. This provides the opportunity for players of all calibre to play weekly officiated football matches with what will inevitably be some of your best friends.

The college football system is comprised of many leagues including men's JCR 1s, men's JCR reserves, men's MCR and women*s. The current standings can be found on PlayWaze. Alongside this, colleges also compete in the annual Cuppers and the Hassan's Cup plate competition.

We encourage everyone to get involved with college football. Strong performances can help you land yourself a spot in a University team. To join your college team, simply talk to your college sports rep or find your college captain.
